Hair Treatments

Under normal conditions, approximately 50-100 strands of hair are lost every day, completing their life, and a new strand takes its place. An increase in this number or thinning of the hair causes a decrease in hair volume and sparseness.

What are the causes of abnormal hair loss?

The most common causes of abnormal shedding are genetic and hormonal factors, improper diet, stress, post-pregnancy period and vitamin deficiencies. Skin diseases that cause hair breakage or damage to the roots, and some systemic diseases, especially infections, anemia and thyroid diseases, can also cause hair loss.

After revealing the factors that cause hair loss in treatment, the most appropriate treatment alternatives for the cause should be selected. It may be possible to reverse hair loss with treatments for the detected cause and measures to be taken.

In the treatment of hair loss, in addition to medical treatments, there are also auxiliary treatments that stop hair loss, accelerate the blood circulation of the scalp and increase its nutrition. The most effective of these treatments are PRP and Mesotherapy.

Hair PRP

PRP contains plenty of growth factors that ensure the proliferation and growth of all our body tissues. These factors prolong the life span by stimulating the hair follicles. At the same time, it increases the blood supply to the scalp and thus provides nourishment to the hair follicles, reducing hair loss and increasing hair thickness. Since the patient’s own blood is used in the PRP procedure, the risk of side effects is very low. It is extremely safe in terms of infectious diseases and does not carry the risk of allergies. It can be applied to both men and women.

In PRP application, special plasma prepared by centrifuging the blood taken from the forearm vein of the person is injected into the scalp using fine-tipped needles. It is applied as 3-6 sessions, once every 3 weeks, depending on the needs of the person, the type and severity of hair loss. A period of at least 4 weeks should elapse for a significant clinical improvement. After the treatment with regular sessions, if needed, the treatment can be continued at certain intervals to ensure the continuity of the effect. Combining PRP treatment with mesotherapy provides a more effective solution.

Hair Mesotherapy

Another treatment applied to revitalize hair and stop its loss is hair mesotherapy. It ensures the development of hair, nourishment of hair follicles and products containing vitamins, minerals and circulatory regulators that increase blood supply to the scalp with multiple injections. As a result, it is aimed to obtain more vibrant, shiny hair, hair loss stops, and hair strands become thicker. Hair mesotherapy can be applied every 15 days, 8-10 sessions depending on the need. It takes 3 months for the first positive results to be seen in hair mesotherapy. The risk of side effects is very low. Combined application with hair PRP increases success rates.

Both PRP and mesotherapy are two important treatment methods to stop hair loss and ensure new healthy hair growth.
